quotes you can buy bolt on tabs so that you could utilize a vbrake on the rear... atleast i'd want brakes. i actually did the opposite of you, took a 24 inch wheeled bmx bike, put some rigid disk forks on the front, and mountain bike front hub, and had an awesome small bmx styled mountaion bike with front and rear brakes. wicked for the skatepark!
